Objectives: to develop students' speaking skills; to practice speaking in monologues and dialogues; to generalize students' knowledge about' European countries; to stimulate development of j creative faculty;

PROCEDURE

Leader 1. Hello, boys and girls!

Leader 2. Good morning, our guests and participants!


Leader 1 We are glad to meet you here, at our great event.

Leader 2. At the first time, at our school we are starting "SCHOOL-VISION"


Leader 1. First of all, let me intro­duce our Judges. Here they are.

Leader 2. _Nadiya Ivanivna___ is the Minister of Culture of France,Vadim Ivanovich_ is a famous designer, Svetlana Vasilyevna__ is a well-known singer,Valentyna Semenivna –is a famous writer.


Leader 1. And now, are you ready to meet our participants?

Leader 2. ____Dasha______is from Ukraine!


Leader 1. _Anna___ came to us from Spain!

Leader 2. __Tanya__ is a citizen of Great Britain!


Leader 1. _ _Marharyta is from Greece!

Leader 2. __Irina__ is from Nitherlands!

Leader 1. And Nastya__is from France!


Leader 2. Let's choose the order of performance.

Leader 1. Please, singers, take sheets with numbers.

Leader 2. So! _Anna from Spain_ has number 1.

Leader 1. ___Margaret from _Greece_ is the 2nd.

Leader 2. _Tania from Great Britain__ has 3.

Leader 1. __Nastia from France_ is the 4th.

Leader 2. We are seeing after Nastia, Iryna,_ the singer from Nitherlands . She has 5.

Leader 1. _Dasha from Ukraine_ is the 6th.


Leader 2. First of all, I'd like to ask you what do you know about European countries?

Representatives of each country come to the map and tell something about their country. Show it on the map.


Leader 1. Greece, please.

Hi! This country is not big. The capital of Greece is Athens.

Greece is situated to the South of Eu­rope. We like our country and its great history.

Leader 2. Great Britain, please.

Representative of Great Britain.


Good morning! I'm from England.

England is a part of Great Britain. This country lies on the British Isles to the north­west of the European continent. Great Britain is the first country where people speak English. London, one of the world's biggest cities, is the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Leader 1. Next is Ukraine Representative of Ukraine. Hello!
Ukraine is my motherland. I love this country.

It is a state in South-Eastern Europe. The capital of my country is Kyiv. It is situated on both banks of the river Dnipro. We are proud of our country, its history and outstanding) people.

Leader 2. Please, Nederland.

Representative of Nederland. Hello! I'm from Nederland.


Leader 1. Spain is next.

Representative of Spain. I'm glad to see you. I'd like to tell about my mother­ land. It's Spain.

The official name of it is Kingdom of Spain. The capital of it is Madrid. Spain is mountainous coun­try.

Leader 2. France we are waiting for you.

Representative of France. Good morn­ing. Let me introduce my country. France occupies South-Western part of Europe. The capital of it is Paris, very refined city.


Leader 1. We can see you know Eu­rope well.

Leader 2. Ok. Are you ready to lis­ten to our singers?

A u d і e n c e. Yes, we are ready.

Leader 1. Now, listen to __Anna__. She I is going to sing "_Pasadena_” (The song is sounding).

Leader 2. Next is _Margaret_ with her song "_Let it be_". (The song is sounding).

Leader 1. Are you ready to meet _Tania_?

A u d і e n c e. Yes, we are ready.

Leader 1. She wants to sing "_Heart_" (The song is sounding).

Leader 2. Next is _Nastia_ with the romantic song "_My heart will go on_" (The song is sounding).

Leader 1. Meet our next participant. She is _Iryna _. She has prepared inter­esting manner of performance of a _”Beautiful ". Listen, please. (The song is sounding).

Leader 2. Our last singer is Dasha_ and her song "_You simple the best_". (The song is sounding).

Leader 1. Everything is great! Now you have several minutes for thinking over your points. Remember, please, each country should give each per­former from 2 to 10 points. But if she is from your country, don't give her any points.

Leader 2. Judges, give your marks to the computer operator, please!

And we listen famous and beautiful music group “Embroudery”

Leader 1. Do you like this song? Great. So, you are invited to us to say you points.

Leader 2 Respekcted spectators, you can vote. You have six coloured. You sheets of paper

Leader 1 There is a name of the country on each shet of paper. Give your support to the one of the countries.


Leader 1. Respected judges, count, please, all points. And our singers have a surprise for us.

Leader 2. Dear judges, what score do our singers have now?

Judge. Each singer was great and sang very well. But Greece has ____ points; Ukraine has ____; Nitherlands gets-___; Great Britain has ____; Spain gets ____ and France has ____points. _______________ from_______________ is the winner. Congratulations. Take this di­ploma, and sing your song once more. But first of all I'd like to thank singers for their work and give them little presents.
